  nursery  
  Jodie Carroll joined the Nursery team in May of 2006. She comes to us with a background at Head Start and in home based child care. She has a BA in Communication Studies with a strong foundation in early childhood education and sign language from Keene State College.  
 

Karla Ilsley first joined the staff at the Child Care Center in 1988.  She has a BA in Elementary Education with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from Castleton State College.  She has worked with all age groups in Center over the years.  She became a Nursery teacher in 1996 where she worked until 2003 when she left the Center.  She rejoined the Nursery team in 2007.

 
  Matt Young, our teaching assistant in the Nursery, joined us in November of 2006. Matt has experience working with children in camp settings and as a reading tutor.
 
  red room  
  Carol Schoenig has worked at the Child Care Center since 1988. She spent many years as an elementary school aide and volunteer in New Jersey schools prior to moving to Norwich.  
 

Fay Weber joined the Red Room team in 2007; she comes from Shrewsbury, Massachusetts where she was teacher in the toddler room at the Shrewsbury Children’s Center for six years.  Fay has BA from Franklin Pierce College and has Massachusetts’s certification as a preschool and toddler teacher.

 
  yellow room  
  Emily Marvel has a BS in Home Technology Education from the Nueva Vizcaya State Institute of Technology in the Philippines. She has done both home based and Center based care in Malaysia, China, Iowa, Georgia, and Maine prior to moving to the Upper Valley.  
 

Christina Flateau joined the Yellow Room team in 2007.  She has a BA in Music Education from SUNY Potsdam/The Crane School of Music and has taught elementary school music.  She is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from Plymouth State University.

 
  blue room  
  Brystol Rayno graduated from the University of Vermont with a BS in Early Childhood Education. She joined the Center in 1999. She taught in the Blue Room and the Green Room prior to moving to the Yellow Room in the fall of 2003. She returned to the Blue Room in 2006.  
  Frank Bonnett has a BA in Communications from the University of Vermont and a Child Care Certificate from Community College of Vermont. He worked in the Red Room prior to joining the Blue Room team in August of 2001.
 
  orange room  
  Karen Burdette graduated from Wheelock College with BS in Early Childhood Education. She started working in our Nursery in 1982, where she stayed until she moved to the Orange Room in 2006.
 
  green room  
  Christine Kjier has a BA in Speech and Theater Arts and a Child Development Associate Certificate. She has many years of experience working with young children including a position as a Head Start home visitor in Randolph, Vermont. Christine joined the staff as a Yellow Room teacher in 1998 and moved to the Green Room in 2003.
 
  floats  
  Sandy Chesley worked for over twenty years as a paraprofessional in the public schools before joining the Child Care Center staff in 1994. Sandy works in all the classrooms in various shifts throughout the week.  
 

Kristin Trent came to the Upper Valley from her home state of Virginia, where she had been working most recently in a summer preschool program.  Kristin is currently pursuing her BA in Early Childhood Education from Granite State College.

 
  Betsy Wheeler has a BA in Elementary Education from Johnson State College. She had many years of experience teaching kindergarten, Head Start and preschool before coming to the Center in 2006.  
  aministration  
  Allison Colburn, Executive Director, has a BA in Early Childhood Education from Tufts University Child Study Department. She worked as a teacher and assistant director both in the Boston area and in the Upper Valley before she joined the staff at The Child Care Center in Norwich as a program coordinator in 1982. Allison has been the Director of the Center since 1997.  
  Lisa Ciampa has a BA in Arts in English Language and Literature. She has worked as a paraprofessional in the public schools and has done home care through Vermont Supported Living. She joined the Blue Room team in the fall of 2000 and moved to the office in 2006.
 
  The Third member of the office team is Peter Haubrich, bookkeeper. Peter has many years of bookkeeping experience; he has been at the Center since 1990.
